Catch a break

Always take a break after you complete your first draft of a story. Some authors immediately begin writing a new story or editing an existing draft story. However, it’s recommended that you go read some other stories. You’ll re-connect with good writing and give the creative part of your brain some rest.

Exercise is good every day. Playing games can be helpful. Anything other than thinking about your story.

Take a day or two away from your story. Enjoy the accomplishment and distract your mind for a while.
