Tucker the Schnauzer was not an ordinary dog. He was part of the Secret Agency of Dogs who worked against the evil cat mastermind known as Meowser. Meowser had gathered a cat army and was using his army to take over the world. The only dog who could stop him was Tucker.
Tucker waited until his owners left to go to the movies. Then, he pressed a button cleverly concealed by his bed. Instantly, the floor opened and he whizzed down an enclosed tube into the headquarters of the Secret Dog Agency. He landed comfortably in his office and was greeted by a stern German Shepherd. It was his boss, Haze. She waited for Tucker to accustom himself, then spoke.
”Tucker,” she boomed. She had a very deep voice and she always startled Tucker. ”You have a very important job to do. One of our fighters, Fin, has been captured by Meowser.”
Tucker gasped. Fin was the best fighter he had ever seen!
”We need you to rescue him,” continued Haze.”What?!” yelped Tucker. Cracking codes was one thing, but a rescue mission? ”Can’t Afro rescue him?” asked Tucker. Afro the poodle was the head of the Rescue Department.
”Afro is very sick,” said Haze.
Tucker sighed. Whenever Afro got sick, Tucker was voluntold for the rescue. But Afro almost never got sick.”Don’t I get a cool car?” asked Tucker.
”Fine,”said Haze. ”But Cocoa is coming with you.”
”Ok,”said Tucker. He walked toward the garage.
”Password,” said the guard.
”Oreo,” said Tucker. An instant later, his jaw dropped when he saw his new ride. It had a plasma gun turret, a laser, a lightning gun, and rocket boosters! Tucker jumped into the driver’s seat and turned the car on.
Cocoa jumped into the copilot’s seat and immediately said, ”Sweet! I can fire all the guns!”
”Let’s go!” said Tucker. He drove straight through the door, leaving a cartoon cut out and almost running over a labrador mechanic named Fizz. ”Show me Fin’s location,” said Tucker into the tracker.
”Fin is in the Himalayas,” said the tracker.
”It’s going to be very cold,” said Tucker. As Tucker and Cocoa drove toward the Himalayas, the land around them changed more and more. The forests changed into fields, which changed into mountains.
”Wow,” said Cocoa. She had never seen mountains before. ”They’re so tall,” she whispered.
”I know,” said Tucker. ”Most of them have snow on their peaks.
”Look,”said Cocoa. ”It’s the mountain Meowser’s base is at.”
As Tucker steered the car through the trees, Cocoa gasped and said, ”Stop!”
Tucker slammed on the brakes. ”What is it?” asked Tucker.
”I saw some sort of a big cat,”said Cocoa.
Tucker peered carefuly through the trees.
”Look!” said Cocoa. ”There it is again!”
A tan blur shot through the misty trees in the direction of Meowser’s mountain hideout.
”That may have been a spy,” said Tucker. ”Let’s be more careful from now on.” As they drove slowly through the forest, the trees got thicker and thicker. ”I can see why Meowser picked this forest for his base,” said Tucker.
”Destination reached,” said the tracker.
”I don’t see anything,” started Tucker. Suddenly, a massive fortress loomed out of the mist. Tucker had to slam on the brakes to avoid slamming into the vast stone walls.
”It’s as big as a whale!” gasped Cocoa.
”Well,” said Tucker, ”let’s blast our way in!” The lasers cut a hole just big enough for Tucker and Cocoa to crawl through. They hid the car in the bushes and entered the hole.
”Look,” said Cocoa. ”Fin’s holding cell.” They had tunneled so that they were directly across from Fin’s prison.
”That’s lucky,” said Tucker. ”Now we don’t have to sneak around the entire fort.”
Suddenly, Fin looked up at Tucker and Cocoa. ”Run,” he croaked.”Trap.”
”A trap!?” said Tucker.
”He’s right,” said Cocoa. ”I can see a laser on the ceiling, and it’s pointed towards Fin’s cell!”
”We have to save him!” said Tucker.
”We have to try,” agreed Cocoa. Just then, a small object dropped off the ceiling.
”A bomb!” gasped Tucker. The bomb hit the floor and started to count down, from 30 – 29 – 28 …
”Get out of here!” yelled Tucker to Cocoa, who was staring wide-eyed at the bomb.
Cocoa dashed through the hole, leaving Tucker and Fin alone with the bomb. Tucker struggled with Fin’s chains. The bomb read:20.
”Go,” said Fin. ”Leave me.”
”No!” said Tucker.
10.
Suddenly, the wall exploded.
”Get out of the way!” yelled Cocoa to Tucker. As Tucker scrambled out of the way, lasers cut through the chains.
5.
”Hop on!” yelled Cocoa.
4.
Tucker and Fin jumped on the car.
3. 2.
The car zoomed out of the fort.
1.0. KABOOM!!! went the fort.
”AHHHHHH!!” went the dogs. VROOM! went the car. The car sped through the forest, debris flying all around them. It took all of Tucker’s skill to dodge everything that was flying through the air.
As they drove back to the base, Fin told Tucker and Cocoa how he had gotten captured. ”It was a trap,” he said. ”I received a message from Haze, telling me to meet her in the park. But when I got there, several alley cats jumped on me. I killed two of them, but the third knocked me out with some sort of flower. As I lost consciousness, I knew Meowser sent the message as a trap.”
Everyone was quiet for the rest of the drive home. When they got to the base, a huge banner and every dog in the Agency welcomed them back.
”I need a nap,”s aid Cocoa.
”Me, too,” said Tucker.
”Me, three!” chimed in Fin.
As Tucker walked back to his house, he started to drift off. He curled up in his bed, thinking about food.
