Learn and Share Stories Together

HOmeschool Groups Have Their Own Private Space

Give your homeschool group a private space to write fiction, share stories, and support one another—without distractions or outside eyes.

For any group that asks, we create an exclusive fully private page, custom-branded and fully controlled by you. It’s like a mini classroom community, right inside our platform.

Students can ask participate in discussions, share their stories, receive feedback from within the group, and help others by sharing their own feedback about their stories. All without outside influences and having confidence that everything is protected.

You assign your own group moderators – any parents that you assign. The moderators approve or remove stories, guide discussions, and keep the group focused and respectful.

You can even upload your own group logo, give your page your own group name, and create a welcome message or pinned post to greet new members.

These courses make writing fun. All the emphasis is on creating interesting and engaging stories, not following some strict formula. Students learn how to create characters that are complex, with their own goals and motivations. They create plots will keep things moving so their reader can’t stop finding out what happens next. The dialogue will reveal character and ideas. The setting will make the reader live right in the story, including feeling the mood of the situation.

In short, your students will learn how to make your stories feel real, even if they’re set in outer space or in a fantasy land or in their own corner of the universe.

Parent Led or Student Driven courses on Individual basis

Some students learn best on their own, at their own pace and with their own initiative. Other students want more guidance and structure. In either case, students may proceed at different paces. Why force them to all learn the same?

Each homeschool group lets each student participate with their own style of learning and at their own pace. Some students will use an individual-based course on their own. Some students will be taught by their parent. If there is a parent who can teach a whole subset of students in the group at the same time, that works, too!

Students can even collaborate on the stories, if the group leaders decide to allow that. Sometimes working together brings out even more creativity and drives even more learning than working alone.

Regardless of how each student learns to write stories, the stories can be shared to the whole group, the student can discuss questions in the group forum, and every student can give and receive feedback from the rest of the group. It’s a system designed to be flexible enough for individual learning and fun as a whole group.

Once you’re ready, you can share your story with other members to get detailed feedback. The feedback form asks about all aspects of your story, from character development to plot to dialogue to setting to ending, and an overall feel for your story.

You’ll get positive feedback on the areas where your story is resonating, and helpful suggestions on areas where improvements can be made. No one is expecting your story to be perfect, so you can find out where changes would help without feeling like you’re being criticized. We’re all in this together!

Share Your Stories and Get feedback

Help Others by Giving  Feedback

By reading other member stories and giving detailed feedback, you’re helping others grow in their storytelling ability. You have the prompts you need so you can let them know what really works in their story, and offer gentle suggestions on areas that would make the story really shine.

By reviewing other writers’ stories, you’ll start thinking about your own stories and how your own advice would apply. By helping others, you help yourself become a better writer.

In your group’s private discussion forums, students and parents can spark creativity and keep the momentum going whether following lessons or showing how their stories relate to other things they’re learning.

Students learn not only how to write, but how to respond thoughtfully to others, creating a community that supports both skill-building and friendship.

These private forums are completely controlled by your group, so families can shape the experience to match their values and goals. The discussion boards make it easy to stay connected, inspired, and growing—together.
