Chapter 1
Once upon a time two kids were playing and then one of the kids found a key. “What in the world is this?!” all the kids gathered around her. She dusted off the key which was curved in every way. All the moms called the kids to come back home because it was almost time for dinner. Kaitie quickly shoved the key into her pocket. She ran towards her mom with her younger brother Luka and his stuffy Tigy. They were both silent the entire car ride.
Chapter 2
The next day all the kids came back to the park to investigate if this key actually belonged to a door. They looked all over the park and then someone said, “Maybe the door is somewhere else?”
“Good idea.” Kaitie said. “I’ll test it on all of our doors and report back tomorrow.”
Kaitie checked every door until she came to her own room. She closed her eyes, put the key in, and twisted the key. Then she disappeared!
Chapter 3
When she opened her eyes, she saw lots of purple things – butterflies, and to her surprise dragons (lots and lots of dragons). Everything she had dreamt was here, from purple ants to pink zebras. Everything was here.
Meanwhile, her brother was terrified that she was trapped in another place. He found the key on the floor right next to her door. He tried to put the key in the door, but it didn’t work. He wandered around trying to put the key in other doors. When he got to his bedroom, the key went in to the door and he was in his dream land.
